About Mr Wiseman
Mr Oliver Wiseman is a Consultant Urologist at Addenbrooke's Hospital (Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust), where he has practised since 2007. He specialises in the management of urinary tract stone disease and male infertility.
He is also a Consultant Andrologist at Bourn Hall Clinic — the world's first IVF clinic — where he has investigated and treated male infertility for more than 15 years.
He is currently a Board Member of the European Association of Urology Endourology Section and chairs its Communications group.
A pioneer in introducing new techniques to the UK, Mr Wiseman was one of the first surgeons to perform supine PCNL, reducing incision sizes for kidney stone patients. He regularly welcomes surgeons from the UK and overseas to observe stone procedures.
Previously, Mr Wiseman served as Honorary Treasurer and Trustee of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) and was Training Programme Director for Health Education East of England. During his training he took some time out to work as an associate at McKinsey and Company.
